The only good thing about having a back condition that flares up intermittantly, is that I get to spend a lot of time dabbling in art and practising during the flare ups.
I've been working on landscapes and wildlife art, using personally owned photographs, wildlife journals etc as source materials, and attempting to follow exercises from my wide collection of art guide books.
I will cite any references I use, and since I'm neither attempting to render a perfect or exact copy of any of my sources, nor attempting to gain financial profit from this, I hope that no one feels that there's a copyright issue. As I cannot join an art class at the moment, I'm just hoping that some of my friends on DA will feel able to help me identify where I'm going wrong, and give me pointers to improve.
I also want to apologise for all the comments I've failed to make recently. There are 545 deviations in my inbox at the moment. I hope to get around to commenting on most of them. I've not had time to be "around" for a long time now... but I do HOPE to get up to date again.

Check out my favourites gallery - there's some FANTASTIC pieces there (IMHO).

Seriously, the Death Star was the only doomsday device that made sense (compared to the "I'll destroy Earth with me on it lol lol lol" type of doomsday device)

As it says on my header thingie, I initially signed up as a critic. I intended to supply blistering, in-depth critiques... then I discovered that I felt too mean when I did that. Now I just grab favourites where I can. I still try to be as discerning as possible when I select favourites, however.
